I can’t be the only one, can I? Who is slowly losing a grip while trying to parent two maniacal toddlers?
Sure, they’re cute and adorable and funny – and positively crazy. Miniature versions of myself running around and doing their best to pull me down the rabbit hole with them. I could have never imagined the person I would become as I spend my days trying to cling onto any thread of rational contact with the outside world.
I’m excited to have my first featured post on ModernMom today, one of my favorite resources for the Woman Behind the Mom, headed up by Brooke Burke (yes, of television fame) and Lisa Rosenblatt. Head over to read more about how my toddlers are causing me to become unhinged!

Congrats on being published! I had 3 babies in 3 yrs and when people would call on the phone, they’d say HOW MANY KIDS ARE OVER THERE? If one was acting like a monkey, the other 2 had to follow. Hang in there 🙂
Oh wow! I will have 3 in 4 years and I’m really worried – I can’t even imagine 3 in 3!! That’s amazing (and inspiring – you made it!)
Love the article. Congrats on the publication! I had a phrase to share with you if you’re looking for a new question stopper… try “it’s a social convention.” Works pretty well on my 4-yr old right now!
Haha I will have to try that out! Thanks!
I have four young ones at home, and I swear sometimes it’s like herding cats. I get one …. and someone is going past me doing something else. 🙂 Every day I try to remind myself that it’ll pass far too quickly.
That is so true. The time will pass far too quickly. It’s bittersweet, isn’t it? You want to keep them at this age yet want them to get older at the same time.
Congrats on your published post! Great read- kids are awesome but so much work! Ha
Thanks Tiffany! Yeah on the kids — when does it get easier?
Great article! I was laughing the whole time reading it because I can totally relate!
Thanks Ros! It is crazy, isn’t it?
Oh goodness, I agree 100% with all of these! Especially the chocolate stash. Every time I tried, my oldest would suddenly appear out of nowhere and say, “What is that for me?” IT’S NOT FOR YOU, SON! Great post!
Haha yes!! They don’t hear me when I tell them to quiet down or clean up, but they can hear that chocolate wrapper opening from a
mile away!
